TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

CHANGES TO UAMS TEST RESULT RELEASE POLICY (Effective 11/2/2020)

Along with other healthcare institutions across the United States, UAMS is making changes in our electronic health record so you will be able to see almost ALL notes and test results in your UAMS MyChart account as soon as they are available. We believe this is important for you to be able to participate in your care. We will continue to look at every test result and will contact you within three business days to talk about anything of concern.

*Please keep in mind the information below:
  •      - You may be able to see abnormal test results in MyChart before your health care team has an opportunity to discuss them with you.
  •      - Some lab results indicated as abnormal are within acceptable ranges and nothing to worry about. Your provider will let you know if an abnormal result requires follow-up.
  •      - When possible, we will discuss potential abnormal results and any follow-up with you before we do the test.
  •      - Some results may still be held for a brief time until your provider is able to discuss them with you.
  •      - If you have an urgent question or a concern about a test result or if we have not contacted you within the three business days about an abnormal result, please send a message in MyChart or call your clinic to discuss.
  •      - You may feel more comfortable waiting for your provider to review your test results before you look at them.
  •      - If your results are abnormal and need follow-up care, we will review your results with you and develop a care plan together.
  •      - We are available to talk with you in person, by video visit or by phone.

By accepting these terms and accessing the MyChart site, you acknowledge you have read and understand our new results policy.
